This signature mineral of the Keweenaw Peninsula is a popular collectors mineral. In Michigan, this gorgeous porcelaneous material only forms along side of the great native copper deposits in the Keweenaw Peninsula. It wasn’t until the mid to late 1800’s that this stone was discovered in Michigan and it has become more and more rare.
